These characteristics include that there were severe winds. There were also high tides and a low amount of air pressure. The lower the air pressure of a storm makes it more stronger. So as you can tell since Hurricane Sandy had low air pressure, it was a very strong storm.
Paragraph Four: Hurricane Sandy hit five places. Places that were near those specific five places didn't have the storm as much as these specific places. The places that were affected by Hurricane Sandy were Bermuda, the Bahamas, Eastern Canada, Greater Antilles,and the East Coast of the United States. One interesting fact about Superstorm Sandy is that the hurricane caused close to $62 billion in damage in the United States and at least 315 million in the Caribbean. Whenever there is a natural disaster, people should be sure to be aware of things around them. Also stocking up on food,water, and blankets are really important for emergency purposes. Hurricane Sandy was a superstorm that will never be forgotten and I personally stayed home that night when it came. My family and I evacuated during the hurricane and we regretted not evacuating earlier.
