I Want To Share The Gospel In Public Schools
This research project is incredibly relevant and beneficial to my academic career because if I work as a teacher in a public school I will be dealing directly with this complex spiritual struggle of wanting to actively share the gospel in any legal way that I possibly can.

It is also my hope and prayer that my fellow Flames who are majoring in education benefit from my research. After all, a large majority of Liberty students claim to love the Lord and have a desire to serve Him with their lives. So, as a result it is only natural that this topic would spark interest. I would find it an absolute honor if future educators even considered reading my paper to try to equipt themselves to fight the spiritual warfare that lurks around in public schools.

I am grateful to the teachers who have gracefully published what they have learned about sharing the gospel in public schools in hopes of giving advice to those who will soon be battling this tricky field.

Surprisingly this research interest does have a connection to my personal history and background. When I was seven I went to a public school in Singapore for a mere 2 months but ended up getting in trouble in my approach to sharing the gospel even though I was only there as a student. Seven year old me (illegally) relied on my big mouth to share the gospel instead of using the most powerful and effective weapon we have as Christians -

In Share Jesus Without Fear, William Fay presents us with seemingly a very simple, easy way to share the Gospel with non-believers, making it possible for anyone to be an evangelist, regardless of how intimidating a task it may seem. He spends the first few chapters addressing the reader’s fears and the successes of his methods. Then he goes into detail about the method itself.…

In a nation where school shootings are commonplace on the weekly news, students need friends wherever they can find them. What students do not need is even more people groups pushing their agendas on them like cookie cutters, shaping them however their superiors please. Nonetheless, in private education and perhaps even more so in Christian religious private education, we find an increasing amount of this oppressive totalitarianism. Whether on purpose or totally on accident, Karen Russell’s “St. Lucy’s Home for Girls Raised by Wolves” provides apropos parallels between the re-culturing of young lycanthropes and the “spiritual awakening” of youth in modern private Christian schools.…

The purpose of this school study is to show the philosophical, historical, and sociological theory/perspective I observed in The Lion of Judah Christian Academy. I start my day by walking into a school full of school spirit and pride. The environment is rich and full of life; the students are encouraged to engage their abilities to the greatest extent possible, by taking risk and building knowledge and skill in a safe, flexible environment. The students engage in the school pledge in response to the Director of the school Ms. Weston in this manner ……

Furthermore, I love how she briefly explains that this process has to occur the night before. As a routine, Terri writes in her journal about what she has learned that day or the outcomes of her day. The next morning, she rereads these outcomes and formulates a plan to help prevent or encourage the same outcomes for the new day. This is a wonderful idea because it allows you as both a teacher and an individual to reflect on the parts of the day that you were able to show God’s love through your words or actions. Since the law prohibits us from sharing our religious beliefs with students, the best way to share God’s love with students is to love them unconditionally and serve them in the best way that you know…
