A. Plan of the Investigation The investigation that i am doing assesses the torture methods applied by the French to the
Algerian prisoners during the Algerian War. In order to analyze the torture methods, used by the French during the Algerian war, the investigation will require first hand interpretations of torture methods used by the French on Algerian prisoners; from the time period the prisoners entered prison, until they either died from torture wounds or were murdered. Memoirs and History journals are mostly used to analyze the torture methods of the French. Two of the sources used in the essay,

B. Summary of Evidence There were roughly 60,000 French troops in Algeria when the war began on the night of November 1,
1954.
