Ice Persuasive Speech
It’s mid July with a whopping temperature of one hundred and two degrees fahrenheit in the small town of Winchester. You’re outside with your friends playing an intense game of capture the flag, and you all have bright red faces and sweat dripping down every inch of your body. After the game is over you decide to go inside for a frozen treat. There’s no lemonade and no ice cream, so you search through your kitchen cabinets to see what kind of drink you can make for you and your sweaty friends. All you find in the cabinet is a couple packets of hot chocolate mix, but that shouldn’t stop you because you can create frozen hot chocolate. In this essay I will show you how to create a simple six step drink, that can cool you off when the sun is beating …show more content…
When I make it I also add chocolate syrup, but that is a personal preference. After adding all the chocolate you put the lid back on the blender, and mix the chocolate into the frozen treat. After that it is time to pour the mixture into your cups. I prefer using clear glasses when making this treat, and I drizzle chocolate syrup around the cup to spruce up the look of the treat. Depending on what you like, you can also top the drink with whipcream. After pouring and decorating the beverage you can put the straw in and enjoy. When you are all finished it is important to clean up your mess. You should throw away all of your trash, put away leftover ingredients, clean the countertops, and clean the dishes that you used. Now that you have cooled off with a cup of frozen deliciousness you can go back outside and play in the sun. The process is easy, and only takes up to ten minutes. It is a very simple process that would be very hard to mess up. If you add too much milk; add more ice and chocolate. The trickiest part of the whole process is getting all of the ice blended small enough to for it to fit through a straw. Making this treat should be very easy and fun, and you can always add as much chocolate as you please. When you are finished blending everything together you should be able to smell all of the

This was second attempt at this lab. Each time I had two little helpers, aged 11 and 7 in the kitchen that helped measure, mix and assemble. This time we had a can with a lid so they were able to help more this go around. Our mixture came up over the rim of the coffee can and when spinning, some of the mixture leaked out. The mixture was continuously moving this time in a metal can, which I think helped the freezing process happen more quickly. Once again, in the end, the kids liked it but I thought it thawed rather quickly again. I used sugar instead of honey this time and liked the flavor more. I forgot to add the chocolate chips so we sprinkled them on top instead. Always an improvement for the next time. So, if we do this again, next time, I will add the chips before spinning.…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

Also very popular is the "Magic Milo" which involves adding Milo to a small amount of milk with sugar and whipping it to increase the amount of air in the milk, thereby doubling it in size. Then one adds small amounts of hot water and milk in layers stirring each new layer vigorously to maintain its lightness. A final layer of whipped cream topped with extra Milo or chocolate sprinkles. This is more of a 'warm' beverage rather than a 'hot'…

Milocan be stirred into steamed milk or hot water to create something similar to hot chocolateor cocoa. Sugar can be added to the Milo beverage, but many people enjoy it without theaddition of sweeteners, appreciating it for its subtle chocolate flavor. Another possibleuse is making a normal cup of cold Milo and microwaving it for approximately 40–60seconds. This gives the Milo drink a biscuit cover on top. Another popular use is tosprinkle it on ice cream, especially vanilla ice cream. Milo can also be sprinkled onbreakfast cereals. Milo is often the favored beverage for the Tim Tam Slam.…
