In practical, computers will not work without the integration of software. By this, hardware cannot stand alone without software. Thus, the hardware which is the computer system must be integrated by the software. This software is the so-called operating system (OS).
Operating system gives an important role in computer system. This is a collection of system programs that controls the operation of a computer system. The purpose of this is to organize and control hardware and software so that the device it lives in behaves in a flexible but predictable way. This is the first thing loaded onto the computer. Once the operating system has started up, it manages all of the software and hardware on the computer. Most of the time, there are many different programs running at the same time, and they all need to access your computer's Central Processing Unit (CPU), memory, and storage. The operating system coordinates all of this to make sure that each program gets what it needs. Without the operating system, the software wouldn't even be able to talk to the hardware, and the computer would be useless. However, there are lots of operating system that can be program to all computers. Such operating system includes Linux, Windows, and Mac Os. Furthermore, these kind of operating system have different features. Those features can also be the advantages or disadvantages.
In all aspects, the users are looking forward for the operating system that consist of better features. The features that can optimize the performance of the operation of the computers. By this, researchers are visualizing the ideal operating system.
