Identification of a Quality Teacher
A teacher needs to have confidence- they need to be able to present themselves in positive manner! | A teacher needs to LOVE WHAT THEY DO- if a teacher simply does not enjoy what they do, this will reflect in their work with is a major impact on the learners as they can pick up on this and them themselves will not enjoy their lessons! | A quality teacher needs to be able to communicate well... they will be communicating all day long and needs to be able to put their point of view across to others and others need to be able to understand them! A teacher communicates with many people- learners, parents, fellow workers etc | A teacher also needs to act as a role model... learners need to be able to look up to their teachers and by doing this they will acquire a great deal of respect from their learners... | A good teacher needs to be very UNDERSTANDING!! They need to understand others point of view and process it as an opinion and not only view their own facts! They need to understand their learners in order to know what learning style etc to use on each particular student. | Leadership: Teachers take on a leadership role as they have guide leaners through their learning experience. | Committed: Teachers go above and beyond with their willingness to help students and become better teachers. | Understanding: A good teacher understands their students and the way to get the best out of them, as they are experts in their field of knowledge. | Compassion and caring: The world is a cruel place as a teacher; you know that knowledge (an education) will give leaners the ability to make a difference in the world. | High expectations: A good teacher has high expectations of themselves and their students. | PREPARED Know steps necessary in their curriculum. | COMPASSION AND CARING Have inner desire to help through the suffering in
