Self-concepts has influenced people's lives of all racial backgrounds for thousands of years. Self-concepts plays a huge role in life and how we view many different things in ourselves. The concept of self-concepts has been heavily impacted by social and economically. Appearance, income and education are the main factors that plays a huge role in the formation of self-concept. Those three developments has especially generated a major change. First, one of the major roles that plays and influenced the self-concept is appearance. Appearance affects the perception of others and self-perception. How pretty, ugly, thin and fat you appear (mike10613). We all had our moments where we all feel better in new clothes; hence the term retail therapy when he or she go out and buy new clothes for a therapeutic effect. Pharmacodynamics could be defined as what the drug does to the body. We treat our body with material things such as a special pair of new shoes and brand new car. Then you buy it and you love having it for a few days. But over time you get bored or it wears out. You can see this pattern repeated constantly in your own life. For example, your parents and grandparents likely spent thousands and thousands of dollars on toys for you as you were growing up. They brought happiness for a moment or a week, but over time they became worthless and your desire turned to a new object (Brain). It shows you that appearance plays huge role in our self-concept.
Next, Income has an effect, if you drive a Ferrari or have a chauffeur driven limousine but will perceive yourself as being more "up market" than the guy in the "reasonably priced car". Income also gives you status and social standing and your opinions will carry weight, it gives you power. Many people fail to realize that money does not bring you happiness. No matter how much money you make, you always want more. So if
