Community and School Description
Conrad is a small, rural farming community in northeastern Montana, 65 miles north of Great Falls, two hours way from Glacier National Park and serves as the country seat for Pondera County. With a population of roughly 2600, the ethnic makeup of the town is approximately 95% Caucasian, 0.2 % African American, 1.8 % Native American, 0.3 % Asian, 0.2 % other races, 2.4% two or more races, and 1.5% Hispanic or Latino.
Economically, the primary industries are agriculture, education services, health care, public administration, ranching, oil production and tourism with various services and small commerce’s typical of many small towns in Montana.

How will you design the lesson to meet the needs of all learners in your classroom? Instructions will be in a small group setting for letter recognition. Some students will require physical guidance to properly attach letters to Velcro dots on the page. Verbal prompts will be needed for most students to repeat the name of letters. In order to keep students, engage, this is a hands-on, active learning and multisensory lesson.
