Antonopoulos, Andreas. "The Black Market for Identity Theft." Editorial. Network World 21 Sept. 2013: 42. This source seems like it will be pretty good and will also help give me a little bit different view on identity theft. This article covers how identity theft affects the black market, which helps in raising the crime level directed towards identity theft.

Coates, Nicholas "The privacy crackdown." News Media & the Law (2007) Academic Search Premier. EBSCO. Web. 21 Sept. 2013.
Coates wrote this article to focus on the efforts of the US to crack down on identity theft. He writes, “But when legislators passed the hill, the rationale given was not protecting prominent New Hampshire residents: it was protecting the privacy interests of the parties.” This article is a good counterargument when it comes to the topic identity theft. It’s a good article for my topic because it gives examples as to why the government doesn’t have good laws against identity theft.
Morton, Heather "Identity Thieves: Let 's Catch Them If We Can." State Legislatures (2004). Academic Search Premier. EBSCO. Web. 21 Sept. …show more content…
2013.
Morton’s article discusses how U.S.
legislators can protect consumers from identity theft. There should also be a prosecution of more cases involving people who assume several identities. This article related to my topic because my argument involves the need for harsher punishments for identity theft. Morton writes, “Increase penalties: Identity theft is a serious crime and offenders should be punished.” This is a valid article for research papers involving harsher punishments for identity theft.
Greenberg, Pam "HOW THEY WORK." State Legislatures (2004). Academic Search Premier. EBSCO. Web. 21 Sept. 2013.
Greenberg wrote this article to talk about new technology and digital watermarks that help prevent identity theft. Greenberg states, “Reports on the use of biometrics technology and digital watermarks to secure important documents and prevent identity theft. Information on the biometric technology; Features of the digital watermarks; Responsibilities of individuals who are using these technologies.” This article relates to my topic because it explains, what can contribute to decreasing identity theft. This article is valid because it gives many examples on decreasing identity theft.
“Identity Theft Foiled Again." State Legislatures (2002). Academic Search Premier. EBSCO. Web. 24 Sept.
2013.
This article talks about the different ways identity theft can occur. The article states, “Stealing someone 's credit card number is the easiest way to commit identity fraud. Thieves can find receipts left on tables in restaurants or in shopping bags, thrown away in a trash can or dumpster, or left behind at the gas pump.” This article can help my research paper when it comes to needing examples. However, this article is that good because, a lot of the arguments and examples aren’t strong enough to make a point.
