The poem “Pass/Fail” by Linda Pastan addresses exam anxiety. In the poem the author talks about examination dreams. These dreams are a reflection on the individual’s lack of confidence and incapability to advance to the next stage in life. In the dreams no matter what a person do, the answer is always wrong and he or she is guaranteed to fail in the dream. In real life, one either pass an exam or fail it. If one fails, they can often retake the exam and pass it. However, no matter what a person do, they are never going to escape from their examination dreams. This fact is not accepted by anyone, especially the main character of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, Okoknwo. The High Scope approach gives a child an active involvement in their own learning. High Scope is to allow students to get involved in setting goals, planning, doing, and reviewing all aspects of the project. According to Northern California Child Development, Inc. The teacher’s role is to support the children’s decisions and encourage them to extend learning beyond the original plan” (para. 5). Does success and failure go hand in hand? Success gives people satisfaction and delight, where failure can discourage and exhaust them. But what people can tend to forget is that in life, everyone comes across failure every once in a while. What everyone should remember is that no one is perfect and they should not lose hope and give up. Winston Churchill once said “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts” (Winston Churchill) Humans have always been imperfect, so we often tend to stumble every now and then. Life tests everyone. Failures are more memorable, but they can be helpful in many different ways. They are our best teachers and give us the most growth. Every time one fails they can learn some type of lesson. When people learn to investigate the reason behind their failures, they can attempt to change the outcome the next time to protect themselves against making the same mistake.…

I found it extremely important to take time and decide what is required for me to achieve, whether it is my personal goal or not. Before, I never used to plan ahead, I will just make sure I remember what I need to do or get done, but that wasn’t working out well because most of the time I will forget or don’t remember if I did or not. Nevertheless, I sat down thinking about ways I can change my life for better and simple to manage. By planning weekly or month helps make better decision and providing guideline goals for future judgment. Planning ahead helps me to take control of my life; it allowed me to be able established goals and knowing I am able to move forward. Now that I am able to make monthly and weekly planning, I don’t feel as if time is passing me by and that I am not getting anything done. Now that I am planning ahead, I am getting more things completed one time and I feel structure in my life. I am more organized, less stress and more productive. In college, students deal with multiple stress factors and finances should not be included. Numerous of students graduate high school each year and only a select decide to further their education. These students should be able to attend college without worry. College helps students choose a career and prepare for life after their graduation. A student stressing over how they're going to pay for their textbooks or what they're going to eat for dinner because a meal plan wasn't affordable shouldn't even be an issue. College can be an overwhelming experience and even more overwhelming for those who need financial needs met. Being an out-of-state student with no type of grants helps me relate to these situations. Students who are able to focus on school and stress less about finances are more likely to strive in their classes and graduate with a higher grade point average. By having costless tuitions, allotting an amount in a food stipend every month, and giving out-of-state students top priority in campus housing can eliminate stress and build a brighter future for the college students of America.…
