The source was helpful in answering the question of representation of Latinos in the government, however, it dealt with the representation of Latino voters, which is not exactly the section I’ve been assigned. This source was different form the rest because it, again dealt more with how Latino voters affect Latino representation. I would say the source did not necessarily change my thinking on the research question, but it did affect my by providing different reasons as to why Latinos are not as likely to get elected in to legislature.

This source in particular was a study done to examine why minorities get elect to office and when do they get elected. The study was mostly focused on state legislative candidate data from two specific sources, ranging from 2008 to 2012, and used this information to make predictions about the probabilities of electing Latinos in government.
