Imagery is the language and poetry that is often visual and with big discrete words bring an image to the reader’s brain. In the two poems “Kind of Blue” by Lynn Powell and “That time of year thou mayst in me behold” by William Shakespeare it is clear that in both of the poems that they use adjectives and are concrete in there writing in order to spark the five senses in imagery. In both of these short poems it is clear that the type of imagery that they use is visual imagery.

He starts of by immediately bringing the reader in the environment of fall. He gives the reader the imagery that his age is like the season fall where “few” leaves hang. Then he tells us how is age is like “the twilight of such day”. Finally, the author compares himself to a fire and that is ashes would be considered his youth. Through all these descriptions I think that it is safe to say that the reader can conclude that the age of the author is properly very old. I get the sense of imagery that if a few leaves hang then that the author will properly need assistance living soon in order to help his life to keep going. Though imagery, I imagines the setting of “That time of year thou mayst in me behold” by William Shakespeare to be kind of dark and scary especially when the author compared himself to ashes and “twilight of such day”.
