Immigration Impact On Society
immigration has impact on modern society In recent years, accessibility and availability of international travel promote many different people travel to other countries. Tourists broaden their horizons and immigrants create new life. My presentation will expound the impact of international travel by immigration, From different aspects to show positive and negative influence.
Nowadays immigrants become an important element in the modern social economy. Steven Swinford (2013) was said that three kinds of immigrants has impact to UK Citizens. “Asylum seekers, refugees and low-skilled immigrants are crating overcrowding, fuelling community tensions and putting pressure on the NHS” (National Health Service).Mark Harper (the immigration minister)
emphasize the importance of protecting Britain’s public services and ban those who come to United Kingdom to acquire welfare system. More and more immigrants destroy the balance of social resources, those populations cause overcrowded and menace residences’ accommodation. Thus may lead to crimes like theft and robbery. Although those immigrants will take their traditional culture, delicious food, different language to immigrant countries. Communication with local residence will be make culture diversity and make contribution to the economy, such as a boost n demand for goods and an increase in tourism of visits from their friends and relatives. At the same time the UK badly needs such growth (Sheffield University).
Furthermore there is may a link between increase levels of youth unemployment in UK and rising in immigration from other countries. National Statistics report that “migrant workers were taking jobs that local employers find hard to fill with domestic workers.” This may be the reason why youth cannot find comportable jobs, but in other point shows that there is no significant relationship between young person and immigration (Danny Sriskandarajah ). Thus different experts reveal the impact of immigration in different ways, both side of advantage and disadvantage.
In summary, there are some clear different impact between kinds of international travel on modern society. While this essay recognized the negative aspects of impact, uncontrolled immigration may causes a number of social problems, resources and environment will be stretched. But if government or social organization control tourists and immigration reasonably, all these impacts on modern society are positive changing the world economy and improve quality of citizens’ daily life.
