ABSTRACT:
Illegal immigration into the United States is occurring at massive scale. More than 10 million undocumented aliens currently reside in the U.S., and the population is growing massively per year. On the contrary, the presence of so many aliens is a powerful testament to the attractiveness of America. On the other hand, it is a sign of how dangerously open our borders are.

Under the law it is a criminal offense punishable by a fine or imprisonment for any person who: knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact than an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place. SOCIAL EFFECTS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION TO THE COUNTRY:
One of the negative effects of illegal immigration is the excessive usage of country’s resources. There is massive growth in social amenities like hospitals and schools can end up being overwhelmed because of users that were not planned for. There are basic needs for all who are staying in the United Stated whether they are legal or illegal immigrants. They need supplies such as food, health services and shelter; their influx is likely to stretch the available resources. In some cases, this may end up creating a conflict between the host communities and the illegal immigrants.
Further still, illegal immigrants are said to exert competition on job opportunities for the locals. Some employers are keen to tap on cheap labor provided by the illegal immigrants at the expense of the …show more content…

CONCLUSION:
Illegal immigration can take both the positive and negative dimension in terms of its consequences. From the discussion, the negative effects surpass the positive effects of illegal immigration present in the United States. The sole purpose of this paper has been to provide information about the impact of illegal immigration on American society and to offer solutions to face this growing problem. Not only are there economic effects, but the American people also experience a social effect that is changing the face of this country.
As mentioned, it is important to question whether a port security has an effect on illegal immigration and to what degree, how illegal immigration affects the workplace, what illegal immigration brings to the country, if anti-illegal immigration laws are effective, and what the costs are of illegal immigration in the U.S. Perhaps it is time for the U.S. along with world governments to address the factors leading to illegal immigration and try to provide sustainable solutions at home to prevent their nationals from
