According to U.S department of Health and Human Services immunizations have saved billion of lives by reducing human’s mortality rate, and also eliminate the burden of disability. Children who are immunized with the vaccine are less likely to develop a disease that they are immunized against. So why put your child in the danger by not immunizing them. Some of the examples of deadly disease that are prevented by vaccine are Chicken pox, Influenza, Rubella, Diphtheria, Polio, meningococcal, Mumps, Hepatitis A &b, Measles, small pox, Tuberculosis and more.(CDC) These are the diseases that once killed thousands of lives but now due to vaccination these diseases are disappearing and some are even eradicated. Also before vaccines are allowed for human, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have to approve it for use. Scientists do long term research, lots of clinical trials, follow up studies, and evaluate side effects and reviews.(Brown pg 3) Like every medication has side effects vaccine has side effects too. Some of the known side effects of vaccine are fever, fussiness, redness, and lumps on vaccinated site, body ache and rash. There have been also the reports of adverse reaction to vaccine like death, anaphylactic reaction, encephalitis and seizure. But if we compared to death rate caused by disease itself with death and disability caused by vaccine, it is atonishly low. So as a parent we have to think that there is more advantage from getting vaccinated rather than have a kid suffer from disease which is perfectly preventable. (Brown Pg.
