Along with creating opportunities, it increased the standard of living, allowed the workers to have a disposable income. The effects on the aristocracy and the nobles was that they suffered in materialistic terms. They lost their amount of power because power was not associated with the amount
of land you owned anymore. The middle-class women filled domestic roles in the home such as sewing and being homemakers, wives, and mothers. They were responsible for teaching “respectability” and serving as an emotional safe haven for their husbands after they return from work. The effects of the industrialization are that they filled occupations such as teaching, nursing, social work, and clerical positions. The middle-class women started to stand alongside their husbands.
