and prototypes were being produced that furthered the thought of human achievement. Leonardo Da Vinci was a leading example as he has made the most design concepts that have been used in modern day technology. He created the most complex flying machine of the time, although it was just a prototype. As more of these inventions rose, scientific technology was refined and utilized. Technology such as the telescope was refined which proved many theories about the universe. Many great thinkers utilized this technology to further their own research and ideas. Along with advancements in scientific technology, designs and prototypes were being produced that furthered the thought of human achievement. Most of this technology was based on astronomy due to the science becoming a high point of interest. Many great scientists took up astronomy and laid down the fundamentals of the science which we base our findings and research off of today. For example, Galileo Galilei with the help of a telescope proved that the solar system did not orbit the earth but instead orbited around the sun.
Discoveries in astronomy were the focus, there were huge discoveries in the field of anatomy. Andreas Vesalius wrote a book titled “De Humani Corporis Fabrica” which was the most detailed book on anatomy. This was because Vesalius was the first to include human dissection in his studies instead of relying on spiritual ways. All of this knowledge that has risen in the Renaissance was the baseline for all of the knowledge that we know today. The same can be said with technology. The concepts that were created can still be seen in modern day society. Leading innovations in ship design allowed European explorers along with European Christian missionaries to set off to sea and explore new lands that were never possible until then. Having access to all of these new trade routes, Europe was able to obtain luxury goods such as gold and silk. Having access to these new lands but not being able to take control was a problem. This problem was resolved by slaughtering and enslaving any foreign people who didn't have the same views or follow the same religion. This lead to another factor, expansion of religion. European Christian missionaries set off with European explorers to unknown lands. In these new lands, the Missionaries would spread Christianity and European worldviews to these foreign people. Anybody who accepted their teachings was spared from slavery and bloodshed that came when their villages were conquered. These were only a few of the reasons that the Renaissance was so influential. These reasons that I have stated have been a major factor in change by changing many peoples worldviews.
