This essay will explain the different areas of advice I would give to incoming high school freshman. In order to do this I will describe the following areas of advice: social; academic; extra curricular aspects.
I will start of with the social aspects of high school. We have all gone to High School at one point in our lives. It is safe to say that most of us if not all have thought at one point or another “if I only knew then what I know now, high school would be way different.” High school was our transitional period of finding out who we are as individuals. A second piece of advice is do not let peer pressure ruin your life or friendships. A lot of people go through high school partying and doing drugs and it changes a lot of people. That is one reason a lot of friendships will end because one friend will do something that the other one does not approve of, and they will start to argue about it and just end up not being friends anymore because one decided to make a bad choice. It ruins lives because people can develop addictions to alcohol or certain drugs because of peer pressure. If you listen to a loser then you end up a loser later on so it is just best in high school to just follow what you strongly believe in, and to not be afraid to be yourself and do what you want to do. It’s your life to live, so you make your own choices. The last and final piece of advice to new freshmen would be to just have fun, do not let stupid stereotypes or people who think they are too cool tell you what to do. If you want to be a computer geek, then be a computer geek. If people say anything to you, just let it go in one ear and out the other. They
