Moving To Oklahoma-Personal Narrative
I moved to Oklahoma and I lived in the same town, same house, since about the age of two. Went to school with the same group of students for as long as I could remember. When out of no where when I was about sixteen years old, end of my sophomore year in high school my father called my little sister, Lizette, and I to the kitchen. He tells us there is a chance we might move to Dallas,
Texas. My father was very excited because we are originally from Laredo, Texas where he lived his whole life. My mother also grew up in Laredo, where I was also born and lived before moving to Tulsa I was supportive of my dad but very disappointed because growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma I considered Tulsa my home and I was not ready to leave. Although the majority of my time was spent with my best friend before I knew it, it was mid-august and it was time to move all out belongings onto the moving truck.
Cassie would help us pack our house everyday, as we joked and talked I almost forgot why we were packing. Moving day came around and I thought that last day that I would be in that town was the going to be the hardest; I was wrong. I knew that leaving the house I grew up in, the friends I had, my home, was going to be hard, but that did not prepare me for the new life I was going to have to start in Texas. I said my goodbyes to my friends and we set off to our new lives. I was so upset and had such anger towards my parents for making me move my junior year. As we settled into New Braunfels I became okay with the move.
The new school year came around and I kept to myself for most of my junior year. It was a change from before, where i was very social and friendly with most of my classmates since I had become comfortable with them over the past years. My junior year I focused on my school work, and on finding a job. I
