Good Evening. I am standing here today to not only address the power of The United States of America, but to address the background that shapes we the people to be the country of opportunity, freedom, and love. This beauty of a nation holds years worth of patriotic moments and times of pain, but we must learn to face the issues head on. There is no time to waste because from July 4, 1776 to present day we have strived and have become a piece of history that no person will ever forget.
Uniting a group takes patience, and as one we possess an abundance of tolerance. Our goal is to quit the division and learn to blend a nation with warmth toward the country we have grown into. We shall respect and live the American dream everyone hopes for. Recently, there have been issues of anti-patriotism. There were instances where Americans chose not to stand for our flag that represents our purity, valor, vigilance, and justice. People have fought in war with the American flag patched onto their arm and still today have it patched onto their heart. Being able to have patriotism is an honor and to be sure that we can all keep this honor, we must realize the pure beauty of America. Muhammad Ali, Sacagawea, Rosa Parks, Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Maya Angelou, Ronald Reagan, and Martin Luther King Jr., followed by many others, presented acts of change and patriotism in the country we were all meant to be in. We shall remember how amazing and lucky we are to be in this nation. This nation is much different than others because it grasps the authentic and prominent feel of devotion and strength that we must learn is ours.
