Usually we leave the windows closed because the treads don’t do well when the wind blows. In the large rooms the humidity and moisture in the air are incredibly bad, but we have gotten used to the heat and humidity.
Although we choose to come work at the mills we get treated badly, much like slaves, or indentured servants. They free us little food that is not very notorious for us since we are running back and forth,
loom to loom for hours on end, it takes a lot out of us. It also doesn’t help that the clothing we get sent horrible but it could be better.
