India Is My Country
India is my country, my motherland . I am proud to say that I am an Indian.
India is a big country with world 2nd largest population. 1 out of 5 people in the world is an Indian.
India has 28 states, 7 union Territories, 18 official languages, 114 languages, 216 mother tongues
India is 7th Largest Country with world largest democracy.
We, Indians celebrate Independence day on 15th August & Republic day on 26th January
I am proud of the ancient culture and heritage of my great country.
The world first university was in India established in 700 BC
The world greatest university established in 4th century
Sanskrit is the language used in computer software
Ayurveda is the earliest school of medicine known to humans
The art of navigation was born in the river Sindh 5000 years ago
The earliest reservoir and dam for irrigation was built in Saurashtra.
Indians established Harappan culture in Sindhu Valley

National Flag : A Tri colour flag of Saffron / white / green with Ashoka Chakra in navy blue with 24 spokes
My country was under the British rule for more than 200 years, until she had achieved her freedom on the 15th August, 1947 and is celebrated as the Independence day. 26th January, is celebrated as the republic day and October 2nd Is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi Father of the Nation. . These 3 days are India’s National Holidays.
My country has a history of great things like : Indians invented the Number system, Zero and the Decimal point. The value of PI was first calculated by Budhayana. India never invaded any country in her last 1000 years of history. Till 1896, India was the only source of diamonds to the world. Chess was invented in India . Sushruta is the father of surgery and so on.
