The success of Sew What? has been due to the major contributions of information technologies since Duckett decided to expanded the business to a more global clientele after she lost a contract due to the fact that she didn’t have a website that added credibility of her company. Ever since then, her company grew with the more information technology that was incorporated and the company’s success went along with it.
2. If you were a management consultant to Sew What? Inc., what would you advise Megan Duckett to do at this point to be even more successful in her business? What role would information technology play in your proposals? Provide several specific recommendations.
I would advise Megan Duckett to get Sew What? on the major social networks so that she could reach a broader audience and also be able to reach a younger age group then what she has been achieving. I would also suggest advertising on the major search engines which would also reach more people who would be interested in her business. Information technology would play a large role in the fact that if she is on a social network she able to communicate with a potential client and answer their questions much quicker and efficiently so that the client can make informative decision.
