Before the Industrial revolution people lived in rural areas such as farmlands, small towns, and villages. The families would work for themselves, all food planted was consumed by each and every family. Children would help to plant crops, churn butter, milk cows, and tend farm animals. Some children wouldn't go to school because it wasn't obligatory, there was no law that stated the commandment of kids going to school. Some of the kids never even assisted school they were illiterate, they weren't able to read nor write.
There were no jobs available for those who were in need, Instead if they needed something like clothes, tools, etc., they would trade with fellow neighbors. The tools that were traded were man made, There were no machines to make them in the old years, just plain handmade tools. Death rates were very high, there were no doctors that could have helped, if there was someone very sick people thought it was a sign of God purifying their souls.
Poverty was also a cause of high death rates. People who were too poor didn't have enough to trade and didn't have enough to consume. There was less reproduction as well, more death rates meant less babies. There were few babies who barely made it through their first year and then died of poor
hygiene.
After the Industrial Revolution began people started to get mad because man made tools were being replaced with machines. The Industry was beginning to turn from an agricultural economy into one with machines and manufacturing. IR provided some countries that adopted it with technological and economic advantages necessary to rule the world. The Industrial Revolution started spreading through the country's rapidly.
People started witnessing the good side of the IR, people were now getting accustomed to the high technological inventions. Some goods the Industrial Revolution brought were increased volume, variety of manufactured goods, and lastly some improvement in people's standard of living.
Life expectancy started doubling since IR, Medicines and vaccines were being invented to cure the ill. Growth of cities coincided with the growth of Industry. In 2008, for the first time in Human history more people have lived in cities than in rural areas and it is still happening today.
Although IR has not spread wealth evenly across the globe it will some day because we are still living in a world of it. The Industrial Revolution has been a big change in modern history, and it will keep going as long as humans keep existing in this world because it depends on where we live, how we live, what we wear, what we eat, and many other things that we as humans do
