Industrialization: Rapid Development of Society
Nowadays, the society developed rapidly with the industrialization. It requires people always improve their life to adapting with environment. However, some people do not want to change their lifestyles which will lead to many problems.
Firstly, some people will live a humdrum life if their lifestyles do not modify. Their daily activities are over and over from morning to evening. For example, they get up in the morning, after that they go to school or office and return to home in the evening. They do not have any strange thing to do which is very monotonous. If it prolong in a long - term they might have a negative effect on their spirit. I think the most obvious solution is make new change. For instance, if they just like listening soft music they should try to listening another kind such as rock or rap. They will feel another tone of their life.
My second point is that people will face some obstacles when they go to new place or country. They will elaborate on adapting new culture or weather which is typical of each nation. People should be more flexible in order to accommodating new environment. Moreover, they need find clearly information about the place tended to come in case you have a shock culture.
Thirdly, people will be more inferior than others if they do not make change because society is always developing. It has new inventions every day. The obvious solution is to get rid of old thought in order to learning new things. The more knowledge you get, the more achievement you have. However, people should pick out the essential and important things to learn.
In conclusion, life is fluctuation and nothing is permanent stable. Therefore, people should change their thought and lifestyle constantly in order to adapting environment or getting achievement.

According to Emerson, the author of Self Reliance, “Society is a wave. The wave moves onward, but the water of which it is composed does not” (Emerson ). Everyone living in this world has a limited amount of time, a limited life, but an important tradition is to teach our children how to survive just as we learned. Those teachings, passed on from generation to generation, are the ideas and beliefs that make up a society. These ideals continue on into the future, far past any one individual life, just like a wave moves past any individual drop of water in the ocean. No two people will share the same story therefore no one will tell the same advice. We have all adopted diverse lifestyles personalized to fit our character. However, it is not only our character that is making this change, the world growing and improving every second takes a toll as well.…

Our regular activities should be maintained. Change does not necessarily mean that we have to stop in stride. It just means that we should be aware that something is coming. Keeping it simple by doing what we do regularly keeps away the unnecessary analysis of what is happening around us. It maintains our focus and purpose without placing a burden on us. There should be no drastic activity or the need to rush into something new. Keeping things simple regulates our thoughts, maintains our discipline and before long begins to open our awareness of the change.…

The article from Scientific American Mind magazine “Set in our ways: Why change is so hard” by Nikolas Westerhoff shows that it is very complicated to change lives. Young people are open to new experiences, but when they become older they are losing their interest. Throughout the article, Westerhoff reveals such main ideas as: people lose their appetite for novelty as they age; people all over the world have similar societal expectation and life demands; people who wish to make great changes often fail. Most of all I want to pay attention on such special question as “Can people change who they are?” I agree with the author`s thoughts that change is so difficult. Moreover, I think that it is impossible for people to change their personality,…
