Introduction
A management system is the software that allows a computer to perform functions of storing, retrieving, adding, deleting and modifying data. Relational database management systems (RDBMS) implement the relational model of tables and relationships. In this project proposal, we are going to propose a system for an agricultural company named Monsanto. Monsanto is a relatively new company which shares the name and history of a company that was founded in 1901; the Monsanto of today is focused on agriculture and supporting farmers around the world in their mission to produce more while conserving more.
THE PROBLEM: before the introduction of databases, companies used file systems yet file systems severely challenged the accuracy of information and type of information that can be created from the data. These included lengthy development times in that even a simple data retrieval task required extensive programming. File systems had complex system administration which made system administration more difficult as the number of files in the system expanded. In addition, file systems had difficulties in getting quick answers and there arose a need to write programs to produce even the simplest reports.
DESCRIPTION
The proposed system will manage databases within the company. The system will be timed. Our proposed system will be able to view what has been installed, when and where in order for it to be serviced. Reminders and serial numbers are essential. The system should have the ability to show when guarantee of products expire. In addition, the system should show when the products are due for service. Lastly, the system must be user friendly.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SYSTEM * Must be user friendly * Must be timed * Must have reminders * Must respond well in extreme conditions
BENEFITS
* This management system will improve data security because as many users access
