A/G - By a show of hands, How many of you here today has seen the Science Fiction Television program “Doctor Who”?
S/P - Well I’m here today to inform you all on the show’s history, and a little bit of what the show is about.
C/I - Doctor Who is the longest running science fiction television show of all time, It centers around the adventures of a mysterious traveler known only as The Doctor, who uses a time machine to travel through time and space.
V/S - Now I realize that most, if not all of you have never seen, let alone have heard of Doctor Who but hopefully after my presentation you’ll understand more about it.
T - So let’s begin way back when, in the 1960s.

Who went on to play the role for three years before stepping down from it.
To avoid changing the main character or just flat out ending the show after Hartnell’s departure, the creators came up with the clever concept of regenerating.
When the Doctor regenerates, he is able to rejuvenate his entire body, If he’s incredibly injured or dying he can literally restart himself. For him, regenerating means changing, new body, new face, new personality. It’s the same character, with a different look.
1) This system made it easy to continue the series throughout decades and there have been eleven different doctors to date.
But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Doctor Who. In 1989, Twenty Six years after the show began, The show faced cancellation due to a surprising decrease in the ratings. The show became a joke and was taken off the air. The production office for Doctor Who at the BBC finally shut down in August of 1990, for the first time since
