With Halloween coming up, Insidious: The Last Key, the fourth of the insidious movies, is the perfect film. Each Insidious has something to do with each other. They are played off each other, using the same characters. In the trailer they use clips from the earlier movies to kind of show how they’re connected. All of the movies within the series deals with dark spirits and/or demons. Starts off as a typical white family who just moved in a not so normal house. This is a type of movie where in order for someone to understand it they would have to watch the previous ones. The trailer for the upcoming mysterious thriller film Insidious: The Last Key is successful in getting the viewer's attention by the way it uses color to show the differences between what's going on in the scene itself and certain clips from the previous movies in the series to emphasize the importance of these scenes.
At the beginning of the trailer it’s easy to tell it’s a horror film. The colors the directors chose gives it all away. There has to be a reason why the director put those specific scenes from a old movie into a new movie trailer. In figure two the picture shows probably one of the most significant scene from that insidious movie. This scene was kind of the turning point for the movie. It shows how vulnerable the little boy is compared to the demon trying to get him. Going back to the color the directors and producers chose it’s still that dark blue color. At 50 seconds it seems like it’s apart of the movie coming out but there's this red door that was very significant. The red door was only seen in dreams. It was some sort of portal to the other
