Insurgent Character Analysis

Tris and Four need to stop the Erudite and Dauntless leaders from going to war against Abnegation the government faction. When both of them wake up one night they realize they are the only ones awake. Everybody else is in a simulation controlled by the evil faction leaders. To save their old faction they pretend to be in the simulation too. Until they are caught and Four is being put into a simulation especially for divergent people. Tris gets saved by her mom and meets her old friends and family again. With her family and Four’s abusive father, Tris goes back to the dauntless headquarters to stop the war simulation and save Four. In my next book Insurgent, Tris, Four, her brother and the other Abnegation survivors flee to the Amity. There
they are allowed to stay there under the conditions to be peaceful and work. But the Erudite visit and are looking for them. So they are coerced to flee again. Unfortunately Tris, her brother Caleb, Susan and Four are the only ones to get out of there. They stumble in to the factionless and get brought to their leader, Four’s supposedly dead mother. Tris finds out that Four has known for years that she is alive. The four of them are aloud to stay there sojourn before they move on to the Candor headquarters. In this I will question and

In this paragraph I will question. Why did Tris Mom die for her? Her mom saved her from being drowned be the Erudite. On the way to the save house where the rest of Abnegation was waiting for them, they met dauntless soldiers. Her mom Natalie couldn’t let Tris die so she stopped the soldiers by getting into the gunfire. Her mom knew that Tris was very essential for the surviving dauntless and that she could save them. She also lover her daughter dearly and would rather die herself than let her daughter die.
Why did Tris shoot her friend Will? Because he isn’t divergent, he was in the simulation like every other dauntless. He stopped her shortly before she got to the save house. Her mom died so she could get there, so she couldn’t let him kill her. She tried to wake him up from the simulation but failed. So she needed to shoot him first so her mom didn’t die for nothing. She actually feels really bad about it because they were really good friends and he is dating Christina, Tris’ best friend. Tris feels really guilty about it and she is very scared of telling somebody. She doesn’t even trust her boyfriend Four with that secret. But as she says ‘’It was him or me.’’(Tris, 24). Everything in this story happens for a reason and everything that happens is important for later on in the story.

In this paragraph I will predict why Four and Tris got arrested after arriving at the headquarters. I think when they first arrived there and soldiers stopped them and took their weapons away, they were really confused. And when they got told that they are arrested, they were even more confused. I think in the next scene the Candor will accuse them of working together with the Erudite. When Tris went into the dauntless compound to stop the simulation, they had to go to the control room where they found Four. I’m sure in the control room are security cameras that showed Four operating the computer and Tris rescuing him. But because the Candor don’t know that Four was in a simulation I’m sure they just saw him operating it and think that he is helping the Erudite now. Tris also heard Marcus talking about a secret that all of the Abnegation leaders died for. She also knows that Jeanine stole it from them ‘’But you want it back. And Jeanine has it.’’ (Tris, 5). I believe that she really wants to find out what it is because her Dad died for it too.
When Jeanine fights war just to get the secret it must be something very big. I think what Tris and Four are going to find out is going to change the story. I also think it has something to do with the divergent because Jeanine seem very interested and also mentioned doing experiments with them.

In this paragraph I will question about Insurgent.
Why did Four’s mom pretend to be dead? Well first, Marcus her husband didn’t only abuse Four but he also abused her. Marcus as an Abnegation leader, acts very kind and calm on the outside but is very cruel behind closed doors. He made sure Four was to scared to tell anybody. We don’t really get a lot of information about that but I think he abused her in the same way or even worse. Leaving was the right thing to do. But she had to fake her demise so it wouldn’t reflect bad on Marcus or Abnegation because she still cared for him. But Four is very angry with her because ‘’She left me with him.’’ (Four, 12) Why did the Abnegation need to leave the Amity quarters? The Amite had given them specific rules to follow, be nice, no conflicts and work. But because Tris’ dauntless enemy Peter is there with them, there are always some tensions in the air. When Tris finds Peter snooping around in her room and stealing the hard drive with information about her parents’ death/ she gets very angry and the two of them start to fight. So they broke a rule. As a ‘’treatment’’ Tris gets injected with a serum that makes you peaceful but they accidently overdosed her. Four gets angry and they plan to leave in a few days anyways but then the Erudite came and they had to flee anyways. All of this really shows that there is a lot more going on than everybody thinks there
is.

I am really excited to read more of the book because when Tris and four go to the Candor headquarters, all of the other peaceful dauntless are there too. So Tris has to face them and I think the big secret is going to come out pretty soon. I’m also very excited to see the new movie coming out soon to see if the book is better. I think a lot of events and clues from Divergent can be found in this book. So I think that most of the clues in this book are building the basis for the last book again. Just like the last one.
