Integrity can apply to me in school by having to be honest if I get into trouble if it was for something that I did that was against the school rules, not doing homework, and or being disrespectful. One situation is if you lied to a teacher about doing an important project and saying that you wasn’t able to do it because “my printer wasn’t working so I couldn’t give you a hard copy” or “I was busy last night so I couldn’t come home”. Excuses and lies make situations worse and using integrity allows you to tell your teacher the truth and accepting the consequences. Also, if you were to break one of the school rules such as vandalizing school property, it would be better to own up to it than lie and get into more trouble. I wrote the answers on my hand and she saw me constantly checking my palm and I was going to get detention during lunch. I knew that I was wrong for cheating and I was ashamed. I knew that I should own up to it and I did. I was proud of myself for doing that. One way I was dishonest was when I lied to my teacher about not having a project because I had a death in the family and I had an extra week to do it.
