Integrity means having the courage to be honest whether or not the consequences may be good or bad. Having and using integrity in your daily life will allow you to live in honesty and have people want to trust you. Integrity in my opinion can also mean a concept of consistency of action, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. This means that you have the honesty and truthfulness over your words and actions.

Integrity can apply to me in school by having to be honest if I get into trouble if it was for something that I did that was against the school rules, not doing homework, and or being disrespectful. One situation is if you lied to a teacher about doing an important project and saying that you wasn’t able to do it because “my printer wasn’t working so I couldn’t give you a hard copy” or “I was busy last night so I couldn’t come home”. Excuses and lies make situations worse and using integrity allows you to tell your teacher the truth and accepting the consequences. Also, if you were to break one of the school rules such as vandalizing school property, it would be better to own up to it than lie and get into more trouble. Finally, if you were bullying one of your classmates, you should own up to it and apologize to the person instead of lying and hurting the person
