WRITE AN APPEALING STORY. “She stood on the curb looking scared and lonely in a skimpy halter top and bright red lipstick. It was two in the morning. A chilly breeze whipped up in the street and seemed to make her shiver. She was a child . . . just a child. We pulled our Covenant House van up to the curb and rolled down the window . . . .”
Here are some questions to get you started:
Why did you choose this charity?
What event or challenge have you chosen to do?
What will your fundraising mean to your charity?
What do you hope to gain from the experience?
For example, if you can tell people your charity only needs £10 to buy life-saving drugs, they’ll be more inclined to donate and feel confident their sponsorship is making a real difference.

What you’re doing
Start your press release with a few details about your event, when it’s happening and which charity you’ve chosen to fundraise for. Include some details about the training or preparation you’re doing too.
2. Why you’re doing it
Give your reasons why the charity is important to you – maybe talk about your connection with the charity or why you think the work they do is important.
3. How much you’re hoping to raise
Make sure you include details about your fundraising target, how much sponsorship you’ve achieved so far and how people can sponsor you via your Virgin Money Giving fundraising page.
4. Other stuff to include it’s a good idea to include a quote that the paper could use in their article, and send a photo of you training for your event.

Main forces currently having an impact on the Charity stem from the severe austerity measures put in place by the coalition government as these have greatly impacted upon public sector funding. The Charity, similar to other organisations is facing significant cuts to its income at national and local levels. These factors along with our previous trading position have necessitated the Charity reviewing its strategic and operational plans.…

We expressed this message through an advertisement in the form of a poster. Donation is a money related issue, so we plan to have the poster near trading posts and banks, where people have access to money or food to donate. Since donation is not as interesting of a concern, people could forget about it after hearing through the radio. Posters cause the reader to have to use cognitive skills which makes the information have a greater impact on them.…

Charity is one of the leading foundations of America and even the entire world. It brings people together to provide for those in need. Without charity, the lives of many would be crushed or some even lost. A charity organization I was apart of, called Alpha Charity League (ACL), assembles men from the ages of 12 through 18 to get together and raise money for local charities, like the Chris Saiz Foundation. If Blinn could make another chapter of ACL and offered 15 hours of credit for participating, not only could we aid our community and those in need, but also put me through college stress-free.…

The not for profit organization needed to analyze consumer behavior with regard to donations. We have all encountered situations where we make a donation atleast once in our lives. However the number of thoughts that run through our minds before we make that donations are numerous. As consumers we tend to think of our alternatives before purchasing any good or service. With regard to donations it is the same mindset. To quote the study ‘Making a contribution to charity is a purchasing decision that consumers choose to make, just as they choose to spend money on other items and experiences (e.g. entertainment, food, travel etc)’ Other ‘purchases by consumers’ are a form of indirect competition the organization faces. In order to understand its target market Youngcare seeks to research on donation behavior.…
