A Brief essay about Guyana, its history and current development situation, some of the main issues facing this country today and how it is attempting to deal with such. An overview grade is proposed in terms of its efforts related to health education, governance, conflict environment, gender, and so on.
The constant evolution that leads to the civilisation of a nation would always be an on-going process weaved into the fabric of our existence. Such thought makes way for critical questions such as: Why are some nations richer than other? Why do some people have a longer life expectancy than others? And why there is an uneven distribution of the human basic needs across the board? One can also ask what we can do to make changes to the “numerous whys?”
This paper will attempt to examine a brief history of Guyana, a South American country in the developing world, some of its current development situation, the many issues facing this nation and ways in which it is attempting to solve the issues. Grading in terms of its efforts or conditions related to health education, governance, conflict environment, gender, and so on? Would also be provided.
The Warrou people were the indigenous inhabitants of Guyana. In 1831 during the Napoleonic wars Great Britain took over the Dutch colonies of Berbice, Demerara, and Essequibo, which then became British Guiana and Crown colony in 1928. In 1953 Guyana was granted home rule. Cheddi Jagan in 1950, who was Indian-Guyanese, and Forbes Burnham, who was Afro-Guyanese, created the colony 's first political party, known as the Progressive People 's Party (PPP), which was dedicated to gaining the colony 's independence.
