While collecting evidence and protecting the crime scene, police also made some mistakes. Forensic did not arrive the scene until 10 hours later after the incident happened. So they could not make the correct estimation of when the victims died. When police

When they arrived Simpson’s house, they rang the bell a few times without any answer. One of the officers walked around the house and found a white car with a little blood on it. He notified the other 3 officers. They were worried about the safety of people inside, so they decided to enter the premise without a warrant. They found that the people in the house were safe and they continued searching in the property. The officers found a black leather glove that seemed to match the one in the crime scene. They also found some blood on the driveway and around the place. The officer considered the place to be the second crime scene based on what they found in the house. The first topic I will be addressing is the medical examiner’s role in the case. A medical examiner is a medically qualified public officer whose duty is to investigate deaths occurring under unusual or suspicious circumstances, to perform postmortems, and to initiate inquests. In the article of the mysterious death of Andrew and Anthony Johnson, the members of the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s office had to help police figure out a solid time frame in which the two gentlemen had passed. The records indicate that the Johnsons stopped paying their county and city taxes in 2011. So that helps the Examiners offices figure out a window of time that would help the investigation.…

Equally important, solving the case in a short time is also part of the professional ways. The more time passes, the more the case gets tougher. That's why many investigators work very hard to solve the murder case within 48 hours because in this time period the suspect cannot make a quick move and it can be easy for the investigators to track him down. Moreover, in this case, many investigators might need DNA of the victim, but by the more time passes, the DNA might vanish. Thus, for this reason, many investigators try to solve the case in the short period of…

It is but natural that the team consists of highly skilled professionals belonging to many different fields working together with the goal to solve the crime. Some of these are employed regularly while others will be employed occasionally depending upon the requirements. The first to arrive at the scene are the police officials. However, as stated above they will often have the support of other team members. A district attorney may be present at times to determine the necessity of a search warrant. There may be experts who record the data, artists who make sketches of the scene, photographers who take photos of the scene, medical examiners who determine the probable cause of death, collectors for collecting the data, lab technicians who analyse the biological evidence, forensic psychologists, forensic scientists and many more specialists. Whether this is a murder, assault, sexual assault, or robbery, even the most skilled criminals are usually unable to clear the scene of all evidence. With this in mind, it is extremely important to have highly educated and experience crime scene investigators on the scene as soon as possible. The various jobs which compose this team work in harmony with each other if constructed properly, and it would be difficult to complete the job without contributions from each segment of the team. While there are outlines of how to complete a search and record evidence, discretion must be used from time to time with the understanding that not all crime scenes are the same, and the variable circumstances may cause a situation which does not lend itself well to being completed “by the book”. For this reason it is important to understand the basics of crime scene investigation while recognizing the importance of innovative and derivative thinking. Crimes are much more likely to be solved when a combination of discretion and rule-following are utilized, and a successful police unit and crime scene investigation team are likely to have the means to accomplish their goals; a responsibility which ultimately comes down to their goal of meeting the needs of their…
