Title:

The Feasibility of Lemon Grass Extract as Anti-oxidant

Abstract:
This research aims to determine the ideal amount of quality effect for using anti – oxidant by getting the extract of lemon grass. The lemon grasses were chopped at the constant size and pressured afterwards and were tested for their physical appearance and effeitinity.

After the preliminary test in finding out the best insulator for the making of anti – oxidant out of extract lemon grass. 46 people were tested in different conditions in their body. Every 3 days, a batch of 4 280ml bottles of anti – oxidant were released from the researcher, tested and observed. After 2 weeks of testing, a conclusion was made that the most number of people, resulted in good effect are about 33 people.

Variance Analysis as defined by Finkler et al., (2007), is “the aspect of budgeting in which actual results are compared with budgeted expectations”(p.310). In variance analysis, if the actual amount is lower than that of the forecast amount than there is a positive variance. However, if the actual amount is higher than that of the forecast amount then the variance budget is showing negative results. The total forecast expenses for Hypothetical Memorial Hospital in 2008 were $443,931 and the actual expenses were $468,558. The difference between the two was ($24,627). The current period forecasted budget was $37,211 and the actual expenses were $42,971. The difference between the two is ($5,760). This results in a negative variance.…

Antioxidant is defined as, “a molecule capable of inhibiting the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that transfers electrons from a substance to an oxidizing agent. Oxidation reactions can produce free radicals. In turn, these radicals can start chain reactions. When the chain reaction occurs in a cell, it can cause damage or death of the cell. Antioxidants terminate these chain reactions by removing free radical intermediates, and inhibit other oxidation reactions. They do this by being oxidized themselves. (Wikipedia, 2011 1)” These antioxidant rich berries aide skin by reducing the effects of aging and providing better elasticity. An E-zine article stated, “Regardless of whether it is used as a topical cream or as an oral pill, the Acai berry…

Soon, it was realized to be an invasive species due to their adaptability to a wide type of fresh water ecosystems and interference with human activities. Thus a huge amount of money, and efforts have been invested since then for their management. However, it was recently realized that they could be substainably managed in their natural ecosystem and used in biofuel production, generating ample avenues of research, development and marketing of their end product (i.e. bioethanol and biogas). As the search for alternatives to fossil fuel intensifies in this age of modernization and industrialization, fuelled by increasing energy costs, water hyacinth holds a strong promise in the 21st century biofuel industry. The antoxidative properties of water hyacinth leaves were investigated by evaluating the scavenging capacity of liquid extracts in a competitive protective process against oxygenated free radicals (OFRs) released via electrolysis in a phosphate buffer with a Pt electrode. Colorimetric measurements carried out at 515 nm, through a N,N-diethyl-1,4-phenylenediamine (DPD) assay, showed a decreased absorbance of the sample, as compared to the blank obtained by electrolysis of the buffer without plant extract, revealing, thereby, the presence of antioxidizing agents in the liquid extracts. The antioxidative activity was estimated in terms of equivalent-glutathione (EG, in nmoles equivalent-glutathione per gram of dry plant material selected (eg/gdp)), and compared to those of soya beans and garlic bulbs. The EG value increased with decreasing dilution factors, regardless to the plant type, suggesting a strong influence of the medium pH on the…

Cancer has been a leading cause of death worldwide and will still be the same on the future if necessary actions will not be done. A lot of people can be affected by this disease yet not all of them have the access of expensive and artificial treatments. The researchers are urged to discover a natural and effective for stopping tumour vascularisation. In this study, the pericarp of the Calabash (Crescentia Cujete) is utilized as an effective treatment for stopping tumour vascularisation. The obtained 457g of Calabash Fruit pericarp was soaked by solvent extraction using 1.5L 95%-Hexane and 1.5L 95%-Ethanol for 24 hours each. The extract was filtered and evaporated using rotary evaporator for 3 hours and further dried for 24 hours. The residual crude extract was poured in a glass container. The extracts were tested through Chorioallontoic Membrane Assay (CAM).The CAM Assay gave the following results. The mesh indices of the different concentration (25%, 50%, 100%) of the extracts, and the positive and negative control were the following: 285.663, 280.534, 166.008, 176.162, and 244.049.The result of the Chorioallontoic Membrane Assay showed that the extract showed no significant difference to the positive control so it is showed that the extract also has anti-angiogenic effect to the chick embryo. The anti-angiogenic property only shows when 100% concentration (dose-dependent) of the extract is injected to the egg. The researcher concluded that the Calabash Fruit Pericarp has anti-angiogenic effect thus having the potential of halting tumor vascularisation.…

The kinetic equation, half-life values, correlation coefficient and pre-harvest interval (PHI) of the trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole residue dissipation were calculated from the experimental data and summarized in Table 4. The dissipation dynamics of trifloxystrobin on green tea leaves followed a first-order rate equation as follows C = 2.5472e-0.245x (r=0.9797) and C = 6.5457e-0.207x (r= 0.9804) with the half-life of 2.83 and 3.34 days for trifloxystrobin at RD and DRD, respectively. The half-life of trifloxystrobin in processed tea was 2.74 and 3.63 days respectively for 31.25 and 62.50 g a.i./ha and its dissipation dynamics were C = 5.5593e-0.253x and C = 9.8395e-0.191x. The calculated half-lives for tebuconazole were in a range of 2.98 to 3.36 and 3.01 to 3.07 days from the treatment at 62.50 and 125.0 g a.i./ha, respectively for green tea leaves and processed tea. The half-lives of mixed formulation consisting of trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole in the present study was similar to those of gherkin reported by Paramasivam, Selvi, Deepa, Jayaprakash and Chandrasekaran (2015) who observed half-lives were in the range of 3.31-3.38 and 3.0-3.04 days at different doses and slight variation was found the results studied in ginseng (5.92-9.76 and 4.59-7.53 days) reported by Wang, Gao, Liu, Cui and Li (2015). The half-lives of trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole on grape…
