As of today, I donate a certain percentage of my paycheck to an organization which helps families and schools in my local area with food and necessities. While the other part of my paycheck goes towards education to improve my wealth to help others later in life. By enhancing my happiness and self in life while also helping others, is a practice that Effective Altruists value. On the other hand, being an artist, I do not agree with taking away “the thing you most enjoy” and saying it “isn’t the most moral thing to do” (438).
