Is V A Villain Or A Hero?
Is V a Villain or a Hero? This is a very debatable subject that could get intense because, V had his Heroic and Villain moments. For instance, saving Evey more than twice. Villain moments like saving the people of Lark Hill. V wants to gain the revenge from such a corrupt society that led him to being mad, he takes this madness and develops it into heroic acts to save the society. Revenge is a very powerful emotion. V uses these emotions to help the people wake up and find out what is really happening to their society. Thus, that makes V a hero. V saved and freed people from a hopeless society and a government that put itself on top of everyone. In Mark D. White and Robert article “Should Batman kill the Joker?” he portrays that Batman could have saved so many lives by “ending his miserable existence once and for all.” Although, the Joker is a human and deserves some respect and humanity. V wasn’t like batman, V used violence to bring justice to action, V frees the people in Lark Hill “the first motive is revenge. He escapes from Larkhill and vows to get even with his tormentors” (Moore 85/2). V didn’t want …show more content…
This special person has been through a lot, he tried teaching her the way he was taught. People might say that he was being too harsh on her and that it was considered torture. But, V made her an actual person that knew her path and became reborn. V does take her forcefully into the rain and says, “become transfixed” (Moore 172/9). This situation is a symbol of baptism, V does not mean to torture her, he just teaching her with a rough way. As we said before, V did save Evey more than once, once from “the fingermen” and another one from the evil priest. If V meant to torture her, he could have let her die. Later in the story Evey does begin to develop and mature, also gain knowledge. She understood V after a while, she knew the feeling he had for the city and for the people in the

I think that every little thing that an individual does can be looked at as a heroic effort. I believe that a hero is someone who looks for the greater good of others and not just look out for themselves. In the book they soldiers had to die on the battle field and sacrifice themselves for their country. In the movies the villains all probably think that what they’re doing is the right thing to do. At the end of the day we are all the hero and the villain depending on how you look at it.…

“You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” Harvey Dent, The Dark Knight. This quote can be assimilated to Brutus in Shakespeare’s play, Julius Caesar. In a way he died as a hero but he did live long enough and saw himself becoming the villain. Throughout the play, Brutus had been consumed in a lot of drama and deaths. The readers can tell the internal arguments he has with himself about it too. In William Shakespeare’s play, Julius Caesar, there are many tragic deaths, drama, and heroes and villains. The question is, is Brutus the hero or is Brutus the villain.…

Hero. A four letter word that has many meanings but one thing in common. But what isnt a hero? What separates a hero from a villain? A hero is not selfish, a hero is brave but is not fearless. A hero does not care for a price tag or a reward for everything they have done. A hero is not always muscular but sometimes frail but strong willed. A hero does not always wear a cape or carry a weapon. A hero is not always a man or women, but can be a boy or dog. A hero does not need a reason to stand up. They make a reason. This week I had a very hard time coming up with a forum since the question was about comparing Lanval’s tale to a similar but modern story or film. I don’t watch much TV besides the news and I only read the newspapers at home so I do not see many stories that are about heroes that end up with the girl of their dreams in those sources. However, I can only compare Vandal the Hero to other modern characters. In the tale of Vandal, Vandal is described as a foreigner in a foreign land even though he is one of the best knights of King Arthur and Vandal serves the king utterly well, however King Arthur does not reward him nor recognize him for his actions. This reminded me of Oedipus situation in which his king never rewarded him, both of these heroes…

The fact that the poor man does shows me that he was in hardship that causes him to see things differently and more open-minded than I am. I am not too sure about how I would classify the doctor. I don’t think he is a villain but I don’t really think he is a hero as well. Sure he saved lives because of death but I also feel that the doctor only started to go against death because of his own desires. He only saved the King because of the recognition he would get and the King’s daughter because of her beauty and the act that he would be king. He believed that he would be able to get away with going against death because death was his godfather but I just think that the doctor was spoiled and arrogant. This story reminds me that we shouldn’t take things for granted and don’t try to get more than what we can afford.…
