A cruelness towards Adeline was administered by her stepmother, the evil and arrogant Niang. The feeling of undesired and abuse from Niang made her feel unwanted. The loneliness and unwanted feeling caused Adeline to feel isolated when PLT died. PLT, who was the only thing close to her beside Aunt Baba, died harmlessly and helplessly on that day. Overall I strongly believe that Adeline was isolated and affect by her, stepmother Niang and her siblings .
