JFK Assassination Analysis
On November 22 of 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. The events of this horrid day left the American people shocked and disheartened. As with any major historical event, there are many speculations on what happened to Kennedy and who was responsible for his death. There are people who believe the violent act was committed by a single person, whereas, others believe it was part of a conspiracy. Throughout this paper, I will address the official assassination records, the beliefs held by Mr. Doug Horne, and my own personal opinion regarding the assassination.

One individual in particular would be Mr. Doug Horne. Mr. Horne was a member of the Assassination Records Review Board for three years. During his time on the review board, he revisited and reconsidered his view on what actually happened to President Kennedy. Within his video series “Altered History”, Mr. Horne expresses his belief that the report presented to the American people was a cover for what truly took place. He also explains the evidence which brought him to his conclusion. Initially, Mr. Horne discusses the deceit that has occurred between the government and American citizens. According to Horne, an abundant amount of the medical evidence has either been misplaced or destroyed, granting an opportunity to alter the recorded data. Examples of the “lost” evidence would include: autopsy photos, original autopsy documentation, skull fragments, X-rays, and President Kennedy’s brain. Because so much of the original proof has essentially vanished, it is easy for a seed of doubt to be planted into the minds of those unsettled by the primary claim. Furthermore, Mr. Horne addressed that many of the later autopsy records regarding President Kennedy’s injures did not align with information given by the original medical treatment team. When questioned about the exit wound on JFK’s skull, the staff at both Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas and Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland gave very consistent accounts of a large wound found on the occipital bone. The eyewitness claims given by the emergency medical team and nurses was uniform with the testimony given by Secret Service Agent, Clint Hill as well as two FBI agents. Though the declarations given by multiple reliable witnesses were irrefutably constant, the autopsy photos filed by the pathologist contradicted their statements. These photos portrayed a small
