Prisons and jails are somewhat similar to each other but are different in some ways so let me tell you a little about jails and prison, and those places are for people who have commited a crime or have broken the law.
Jails are usually run by law enforcement or local government, and are to hold inmates who are awaiting trial or serving a short sentence , jail even often operate work on release programs and boot camps, and some offer educational or substance abuse but, these programs are created to help the inmates change their lives and improve themselves so they can have a better chance of avoiding jail once again, they also have a benefit of keeping the inmates occupied and less likely to cause problems for jailers and also, jail is used
Jail is for the short-term sentencing, usually hold those of convicted of low-level offenses that have sentences of one year or less, on the other hand, jails tend to have more short population and less developed facilities. Many offenders will ask for prison time rather than doing time in jail followed by probation if the option is given. Some inmates complain that jail is given its endless flow of people that can often interfere with an inmate's ability to sleep, eat on a regular schedule, or participate in exercise. Some jails also suffer from account failures that lead to lower quality or poor food. these issues often lead to claims of violations of the inmate's right against cruel and unusual punishment.
Jails is really not a good place for a person to be in because there are some people who do the crime but can’t do the time, people who always have problems with the laws will probably end up jail most of the time, people who don’t wanna act right and still looking for trouble will eventually end up getting in trouble with the laws. People who keep going in and out of jail are most likely to stay in jail or just keep on coming back and those kind of people don’t really care about nothing or their life because they don’t at least try to stay out like its confusing, you rather keep coming back than to have your freedom and my opinion on that is they’re dumb point blank i’ll rather have my freedom than be in prison or jail. When people are sent to jail or prison you automatically a criminal in people's eyes they will always see you as a criminal no matter what people will think that you are a bad person even if you try to change your ways they will still see a criminal in you and you will not even get accepted in a job just because you were locked up and it's not really fair because they just want to have a
