(Evidence) As a result of being discriminated and harassed through middle and high school, he was encouraged by Joni Thome, a legal representative, to file a lawsuit against the school district as well as his middle and high school principal and his high school vice principal. This charge became the first lawsuit because of anti-gay discrimination. (Elaboration) At first Nabozny had qualms (Academic vocabulary) that a lawsuit was going to change anything, but the result was incredibly impactful.
