Jamie Nabozny was bullied for years and eventually he brought it to court. He was making a case against the school for not protecting him and one of the bullies, Roy Grande, was brought into court to testify. Mary Podlesny, Jamie’s middle school principal, denied everything in court, that they had heard about the bullying and had been in a meeting with parents about the bullying. Near the end of the trial, Jamie talked himself, and it brought him to tears, speaking about all he went through as a kid: the constant taunting, kicking, and punching, wearing him down. Reliving all of that must have been terrible for him, but it won him the case. He earned $900,000 from the school and the bullies were completely ashamed. This could happen to any bully out there and everyone should realize that bullying is just not worth…

People need to understand that what they say doesn't just go one ear out the other. People can be extremely hurtful without knowing it. One thing that kids said from the poem is, “kids used to say she looks like a wrong answer that someone tried to erase but couldn’t quite get the job done”. In the article by John Cloud, “The Myths of Bullying,” he expresses the exaggeration of the supposed growing “epidemic” of bullying that is spreading across schools. He then begins by presenting two stories that relate to bullies and victims of bullying in their own right. One of which is about a shooting at Chardon High School, Ohio, where 5 students were shot and 3 killed. The other is about a suicide at Rutgers University where the victim was supposedly tormented by his roommate causing him to jump off the G.W. Bridge. Following these events and a couple more, measures have been rushed into place in response to these tragedies--furthering the idea of a growing bullying epidemic. Though, this is most likely an exaggeration as the U.S Department of Justice reported about 37% of students reporting that they do not feel safe at school. However, these figures have remained stable the way they are over the years, supporting the fact that the bullying epidemic is just an exaggeration.…
