Jehovah Witness and Roman Catholic

We have the same God, but why can’t we have the same religion? Why can’t we have the same faith and beliefs? Who is God in our life? This entire question is a common question people would ask. I am going to interpret or reveal the differences and similarities about these religions. Jehovah Witness believes that Jesus is the son of God and only one true God and
Creator. Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe in the blessed trinity, the Eucharist, the bible that most of the Christians are using. As I was interviewing one of the Ministers in the Jehovah’s
Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Mr. William Finch said they don’t have crosses, symbols, saints and idols they meet …show more content…
They also believe that Jesus died on a stake, not on the cross and then I noticed their wear and asked about it when I was ending our interview
I asked Mr. William Finch if is it optional to wear formal attire when going to the church and then he corrected me, They call their “church” as Kingdom Hall and he said that they try to wear formal clothes, nicely, to pay respect for God and The Kingdom Hall, they do not force them to wear formal clothes but it is part for their tradition Us Catholic believes that Jesus is the Almighty God and we believe in the trinity. We use a lot of Idols in our worship and we believe that Mother Mary is the Mother of Jesus.
Catholics added an extra 7 book in their bible, Of course as a Catholic I noticed a lot of symbols which Jehovah’s Witnesses does not have like the cross, symbolize Jesus Resurrection, The fish or ICHTHUS means the acronym of Jesus Christ Lesous CHristos THeou Uios Soter this translates as Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour and the Dove symbolize the holy spirit.     Jehovah is considered to be the personal name of God, the only true god, and the creator of all things. Catholics however, do not have a personal name , only recognizing God as God.     Many of the objects depicted in High Renaissance paintings were there for a reason. In “The Annunciation,” Mary is the largest figure and the main focus. Archangel Gabriel is on the left side of the panel, shown smaller and wearing the ornate vestments of a priest. The Holy Trinity is represented here by God, baby Jesus carrying his cross, and a dove, often a symbol of the Holy Spirit. They are all connected by seven rays of light, flowing directly from God’s mouth onto Mary. The seven rays represent the seven days it took God to create the universe. Gold is used as a symbol to represent divinity (Smith). White lilies in a vase between angel Gabriel and Mary often symbolized Mary’s purity. Written on the vase is “Ave Regina,” representing the Hail Mary prayer. The Latin words written in gold are archangel Gabriel telling Mary, “‘Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus’” (Luke 1:31).     I arrived at Trinity Church on Sunday between the hours of 11am and 12pm. While I was observing or ‘people watching’ I noticed quite a few people going to and from Trinity Church. Most people were families including mothers, fathers, child or children, while others were just alone. All dressed fairly nicer than the random people walking the streets of New York City. While there were many families I could have observed, I chose one family in particular. The whole family was dressed in what I would describe as their Sunday best. The mother was wearing what seemed to be a turquoise knee-length dress since her big puffy coat was in the way, with black shoes; the father was wearing a black coat and a pair of black slacks and nice shoes, and the little girl I assumed to be their daughter was wearing what appeared as a pink dress or skirt with a pink winter jacket flaunting, white stockings and white shoes. They seemed like a happy family as they walked into the church at approximately 11:10. As I previously mentioned, the family had on their winter coats and jackets. The weather was quite chilly out, the wind making it feel as though it was 30 degrees out. I was sitting there with my winter coat on with a scarf and gloves. Seeming as though it was a Sunday early afternoon, the foot traffic was not too bad, but since mass started at approximately 11:15, many people were making their way into the Trinity Church at this time.…
