The purpose of life is to serve, know and love God. This is one example of the standards for Christianity. Jesus once said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This expresses his opinion that whoever follows the religion should only believe in one God. Jesus’s religion, Christianity, has spread throughout the world. While influencing the world for about 2,000 years, about 33% of the world is Christian. (Garza,1). Jesus Christ was the most influential person in the world because he started out all by himself, and then created a religion to encompass a huge amount of people.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Judea, around 6 B.C. and was raised Jewish in a Roman civilization. He wanted to teach people about his way of life. This included believing in one God and having good judgment. Jesus created zealots as secret prayer centers because his teachings weren't accepted into public life. These were secretive Church like buildings, where the teachings would go on, but nobody knew about them. Jesus was renamed Jesus Christ, Christ meaning “anointed one,” because people believed that he was a God like figure. Eventually, the Roman government took Jesus captive, he was nailed to the cross, which was the symbol of Christianity, and was crucified.
Jesus is the most influential person in the world for many reasons. One of the reasons he is influential is because over the years, he has acquired a great amount of people to agree with his ideas. They became followers and then taught other people the beliefs. These followers are called Christians. His followers proclaimed he was not just the messiah of the Jewish community, but also the divine representative of God for all humanity. Jesus worked hard to spread his ideas.
