There can be many different meanings for the word Jihadism. It can be translated into English to mean “just war” or “war in the name of Allah”. This translation of the word is the basic meaning of Jihadism. It plainly states that they fight for Allah and this is what the terrorist organizations take as their cause. But there is much more to it than this, it’s just scraping the tip of the iceberg. The biggest misconception from westerners and non believers is that the more religious meaning of Jihadism is the struggle for self-improvement. This is the hardest Jihad out of all them, this is so because the hardest struggle is not with one’s enemy but with one’s self. The one more commonly known by non believers is the act of engagement with external enemies. This is the most known aspect of the religion because it has been all over the news so many times. With all of the terrorist attacks, this is the one that the public is most familiar with. However, it’s not even true Jihadism. That is just another huge misconception in the publics eye. Religiously, Jihadism is just the act of upholding justice. The two different Jihad violation punishments are the Jihad with words against violations and the Jihad with the sword against violations. Now the world has changed, in the past there were Muslims who would be prosecuted for false beliefs. But now they’re the ones in the spotlight of today as the Jihad with the sword against false beliefs. There are different meanings of Jihadism in this day and age with all of our technology. Yet poor communication (transferring of the wrong facts) has led many people to think false facts about
