Jimmy John's Strategy
Jimmy John’s has been able to implement different digital marketing tactics to benefit the company. One method that has proven to be successful for Jimmy John’s is their online ordering and how it corresponds to ordering over the phone. “A quick log-in and the system has saved the store closest to me and my favorite sandwiches.” (Innogage). Being able to order a sandwich online swiftly is what consumers today have come to expect. Since Jimmy John’s saved information such as orders and location, their likability is increased, the process of ordering is made simpler. This corresponds to the discussion level of the digital marketing pyramid, questions are asked and the information is filed away for a later time. Also discussion evolves into an interaction when, “the employee answers, “hello, how can I help you?” I respond, “I would …show more content…
Some consumers do not have a mobile device that would be able to support the app, or do not wish to use it. If text alerts were established, these consumers could still be up to date on information. Texts could be sent out for promotions such as new menu items, or even special deals. This option would be simple to add in due to Jimmy John’s already having personal information if an account has been set up. The only addition would be a check box to opt in or out of text alerts. This would fall under the discussion level of the pyramid; it would be similar to receiving a tweet via a mobile device. In order to determine if this proved to be a successful option for Jimmy John’s there should be a count kept of the number of consumers that accessed a special promotion via text, and the number from the app or other sources. If Jimmy John’s numbers increased overall, the tactic was successful and could maybe be expanded in the future. If the numbers stayed the same overall, the tactic would not be successful and should either be adapted or
