Exchange Report

Program: Bcomm Finance
Host University: Neoma Business School
Host Country: France

Choosing your host

Going on exchange is a fantastic opportunity. You get the chance to meet a lot of new people from different parts of the world and learn new things about other cultures, people and yourself. The reason I chose France is because I wanted to explore the antique beauty of the country and I also wanted to improve my French. I chose Neoma Business School as my host university because of its location and its peaceful environment. The school is located on the mountain area called Mont Saint Aignan.

If you are going for winter semester, the class will start on the 8th of January. The semester is split into two trimesters. Some classes are offered during the first trimester while some other classes are offered during the second trimester. After the finals of the first trimester are all done, there will be a week break before the second trimester starts. The grade of the finals will not be posted any time soon; it will take at least a month for the grade to be posted. The classes are offered in both English and French.

It was a bit tough to match the courses at Neoma to Concordia because I don’t know which courses would be equivalent to courses offered at Concordia, and if I take the wrong course, no credit will be granted. There are a few course descriptions that are very similar to each other, which make the choice even harder. Therefore, I would suggest students to go see the exchange student coordinator, if students are from JMSB, then it would be miss Amanda who will be helping students with the course equivalency. Contact her whenever you have any doubts and make sure to get all the courses equivalency before the departure.

In the case of students who need to add or drop any classes, they can do so after they’ve arrived at the host university by sending an email to the coordinator named Karolina Burka. After the classes are all

Earlier today I was given the opportunity to take an early completion exam for the DRAF-140 class. I passed the exam and accepted the score I got on the test as my grade for the class. This means that I no longer have to attend the DRAF-140 class. It also means that my class schedule for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons is empty. Would it still be possible for me to add a class to my schedule for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons? I am also not sure what other classes are required for the program so I am not entirely sure what class to…
