John F Kennedy Informative Speech
On November the 25th of 1963 this was John F. Kennedy Jr.'s third birthday and the day began with his sister Caroline and nanny Maude Shaw singing "Happy Birthday" to him. At 10:50 a.m. The Kennedy family assembled at the Capitol to be with John F. Kennedy on his historic final journey. Servicemen from the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard very concerned that the coffin was really fucking heavy and heavy is a bad thing going downhill. The cortege carried the newly dead President Kennedy to the White House, where President and Mrs. Johnson, more family members, friends, Congressional leaders, Joint Chiefs and world diplomats and heads of state had assembled to show respect and to escort Kennedy to St. Matthews Cathedral for his funeral Mass. Truly this mas was so influential that it called for such an event. The mourners were to walk behind the cortege for safty. Kennedy Funeral Six matched grays draw the caisson. In military tradition, the right side horses are saddled but riderless so just their presence is there. They wanted to to be remembered that he was well respected.
The whole trip, from the Capitol to the White House, to the St.
Matthews Cathedral to the Arlington would be six miles and that is a hell of a long distance to carry a “heavy coffin”. An estimated one million people gathered around the route. Jackie Kennedy's half brother, James Auchincloss, Lady Bird Johnson, Attorney General Robert Kennedy, Sargent Shriver Jacqueline Kennedy, brother-in-law Stephen Smith and Senator Edward Kennedy all attended. This was surly an impressing sight in the collective memory, the mourners walking in respect roughly eight blocks from the iconic White House to St. Matthews Cathedral. If as they say the Kennedys where as close as America gets to royalty, then the fact that Jackie Kennedy presented a regal appearance was a sight to behold. I mean for shit sakes even Martin Luther King, who would would also soon become a target to an assassin's bullet in April of 1968 was even in attendance.
Over 90 national flags would go to half-staff in their native countries. Even the Panama Canal would briefly close in respect. Athens policeman stopped traffic. This pageantry was a security nightmare so naturally the had 4,000 armed men protected the route even though the damage was done to one the others shouldn't become a target as well. It is a miracle that no incident occurred. The drive to Arlington took over an hour. The long line of snazzy limousines moved slowly behind the

The choice of Arlington as John F. Kennedy's last resting place did not come as easily as one would assume. Brookline Massachusetts was considered very seriously. Yet a national cemetery seemed more appropriate for a national leader and former Navy man of such stature, even though only one other President before him, William Howard Taft (1930) had been buried there and would soon have company. The spot was just below the Custis-Lee mansion, which was renamed Arlington House in 1972. At Arlington the services included a flyover of 50 F-105 jets. One jet for each state to symbolize the respect of the country as a whole. Then Air Force One with the 26000 on its tail flew slowly by alone and then dipped her wings in a farewell salute.
