John Fairbrother During The Industrial Revolution
During the Industrial Revolution technology was beginning to be introduced to society and started to affect people all over the world. The Industrial Revolution first started to make an appearance in the 1800’s. This was huge event during this decade because it made a lot of changes throughout the world. The Industrial Revolution would introduce the world inventions and a new way for transportation, which would later be used throughout the whole world and still goes on today. The only reason that new inventions were made was because the inventors that invented them wanted to make society and improve it by creating something that could help others. A main problem that was occurring was child labor, machines were being created more workers were going to be needed in order to get jobs accomplished. Factories would be a dangerous place for children to work. There would be consequences to the children if they were to disobey the rules or if they would show up late. In an article that I was reading there was a quote that a child named John Fairbrother during the Industrial Revolution said about child labor it stated, “I have seen my master, Luke Taylor, with a horsewhip standing outside the mill when the children have come too late………he lashed them all the way to the mill.” This quote said so much about child labor it mentioned how children would be whipped just or being late, this has later improved greatly because we do not punish …show more content…
They helped improve society more than what it had been already before. This decade was a time of improvement, inventors took advantage and made new improvements, they would later be popular throughout history because of the changes they introduced to us and the whole world.
