In Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven we are presented with several story lines that s surround a single dilemma; The world ended. The world has ended , and with it the artistic world has lost an actor of grace, Arthur Leander. This man was of high standing in the acting and arts community. He did not have a time to be mourned, however, because the deadly Georgia Flu struck; decimating most of the world. The one aspect that really rises up out of the novel, and grasps me by the throat is the fact that there are still people willing to preserve all types of culture.
