To start off, Johnny was kind-loving because he was always fond of Ponyboy and has been through dramatic moments with gangs.
He understands they will stop at nothing to hurt people especially there gang. So, when it came to Ponyboy being drowned he knew what to do. This evidence is found on page number 57 when Johnny says, “‘I had to. They were going to drown you, Pony. They might have killed you. And they had a blade...they were going to beat me up…’” This proves that Johnny wouldn’t kill anybody he would hurt or kill someone only if they were trying to hurt someone especially someone in the gang. This shows his love to the
gang. A second example, to show Johnny's kind-loving heart is when he sacrifices his life for those kids in the burning church and not just anyone would do that, but Johnny didn't think twice about going in the church and in fact he even stayed behind to get the last kid out when the ceiling was caving in. This is proved when the Ponyboy said, “I looked around, startled. I hadn’t realized Johnny had been right behind me all the way. I took a deep breath, and started coughing” (page 91-92). This shows, he wanted to save those kids out of his kind-loving heart and if he did die from it he said it was worth those kids lives being saved, and he will always be known as a hero because of it. To finish it of, we know Johnny to always be thinking about others and when Johnny writes the letter to Ponyboy in the Gone with the wind book we are truly touched by the loving spirit he had and he remember to think about the gang and how they will feel before he passes away. This is shown, on pages 178 and 179 the letter Johnny gave to Ponyboy in the gone with the wind book is another example proving my point. When Johnny makes Ponyboy feel good about himself when he tells him to stay gold, and Johnny says in the letter that stay gold means to stay young. He says this because he care and sees Ponyboy and wants him to make it to the hard time a little easier. This explains, that he remembered how hard loss is so he wants to make it a little better. Johnny does this by giving Ponyboy a little love even when he may not be on this world he makes it feel like he is. With that letter it is our final remembrance of Johnny’s love. So, we all can agree that Johnny was loved by all but he was this way because he loved and was kind to others. And from the evidence it shows he has a kind-loving heart, and we will forever miss that same heart that left that same day when Johnny said “‘Stay Gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold’” reminding us he looked and saw Ponyboy and loved him for that. In all we can say we will always remember Johnny’s kind, loving, eternally lucky, pure, wise, and beautiful heart.
